- Description
I've had people asking about two-color Wilcom Keyboard fonts, so I just made one. Now, this font is not the usual stuff, because two-color keyboard fonts are sort of touchy to work with. For that reason, you must take into account those limitations:
You cannot a) change the stitch type, b) add any underlay, or c) add any pull-comp. I already built all that into it for you, so no problem. You MUST use in "as-digitized" mode, so don't go doing the "closest join" thing. But if you follow the above directions, you should have no issues in using it.
The image shown is one I just finished running at the 2-inch scale, in its entirety. It ran without a thread break straight through... all 138,000 stitches of it. No doubt you'll never do anything quite this wordy with it - unless you happen to be crazy - but it's something I do have to do myself to proof the thing before releasing it.
Bonus! - Although I built this font at the 2" size, you can easily use it up to 3" in height (gadzooks), or reduce it to about 1½" without problems, since I used a fill interior in it, rather than a satin. It drives up the stitch count, but is far more flexible that way to just type and go.
If you want to test out an ABC of this font, click here for a dst file at the 2" size. (Do NOT try to scale it to another size, since it's a dst file, and not a font. This is a machine sample only.)
For Wilcom users running version 8 and above.
