With wedding season headed our way, I wanted to create a file that would be not only useful, but lovely as well. What I had in mind was bridal stuff, but then got to thinking that it might serve just as well for large bags and things like that, too. Kind of a dual purpose file to call up at a moment’s notice. I figured that if there were a full-color version, and also a single-color one for tone-on-tone, then it would be a cinch to add a letter and stitch a product almost instantly.
This elaborate monogram border is complete with flowers, swirls and an oval serving as a picture frame, waiting only for you to supply it with an initial. The overall stitching dimensions are: width 4.97″, height 4.94″ and it uses 8 colors (flower color used twice to keep overlaps correct), almost all of which are varying shades of green. If you use round hoops, you will need at least an 18cm size.
The full color version is 11,377 stitches, and the single-color version is 10,916. The single-color version has open centers in the flowers. Both DST versions are in the zip file, along with a text file of color changes, and a screenshot image with color change numbers indicated, to make it easier to plan the stitching order of your colors.
